It is interesting to note that the Delonghi coffee grinders are from a company that began as a simple and small craftsman’s workshop in the early 1900s. Now, they carry both blade grinders and burr grinders.
The Delonghi KG 49 3.0-oz. Coffee Grinder and the KG39 3.0-oz. Coffee Grinder are both sleek and compact blade grinders with a classic hourglass shape. They are simple and easy to run, even for a beginner. Operation is easy with a one-touch push button control. Both models have durable and long-lasting stainless steel grinding blades for grinding coffee beans. Cleaning is easy and quick with an integrated brush and the removable ground coffee container dispenses the ground coffee easily. As a safety feature, the blades on these grinders automatically stop when pressure is removed from the lid and the lid cannot be removed while the blades are turning. They also have convenient self-contained cord storage.
The difference between the two is that the KG49 has a quantity control knob that allows you to grind 4-12 cups of coffee and also has a feature that allows you to choose your grind setting to coarse, medium or fine.
The Delonghi KG89 4.2-oz Burr Coffee Grinder and the Delonghi KG79 4.2-oz Burr Coffee Grinder are boxier in appearance and both share almost the same features. They both have a convenient on/off push button to start you in your grinding. Both have a burr grinding wheel that creates consistently uniform coffee grounds. With their electronic grind selector, you can choose the setting to fine, medium, or coarse grind. The quantity control knob lets you grind 4-12cups of coffee, and then automatically shuts off. Coffee quantity can be easily viewed with transparent lid and coffee container. As a safety feature, the dual safety system shuts the unit off when the lid or ground coffee container is not in place. Lastly, the easy rewind knob keeps the cord out of the way when not in use.
The KG79 comes in black while the KG89 has a metallic silver front finish.
